Hey all, need an ID, if you dare. This is on my return pipes on my tank. Tank has been setup for 2 years.

I can't find anything on the internet that mentions an algae called loctites? Do you have a link where I an read up - ad what do you mean by re-install?

looks to me like calothrix. Calothrix is similar to cyano and often appears as a light slimy fuzzy nastiness that loosely attaches to your rock work. Air bubbles are usually trapped while escaping the algae making it look similar to Dinos. To clean off, you can remove the rock and scrub with a firm toothbrush. When done, let the cleaning crew get the rest of it.
Recommended cleaners are: Chitons, Nerite snails, cerith snails and astrea snails.

Sorry, I meant what it was growing on. Looks like locline return lines. Sections that can be removed and then reinstalled. If not, then siphon out.
