Everyone, I shut my biopellet reactor off a couple weeks ago to add cheto to my fuge well the stuff is growing like crazy and did a po4 with my new Hanna and now I'm at 0.06. So the question is does the BRS biobellet break down and will cause bad things to my tank if started or am I ok to fire it back up. BTW 150 gallon DD and the reactor has 3 cups of pellets in it. Thanks in advance

I would think you might consider trying 1/2 the amount. The biopellets might out compete the chaeto, making for some slow growth . Maybe .

Thanks. I think I'm going to pull it out of the system, run some rodi water over it and take half out. The cheto is growing great and don't want that to stop but I also need to cut my po4 a little.

I'm using API and have no color change, remains yellow. I may just leave well enough alone and just reduce feeding to once a day instead of 2 small feeds and take a look in a week.
