I've got a really great piece of Undata, that I like a lot. However, when I acquired it, it had a patch of BSP on it. "It'll be ok" I foolishly thought to myself at the time. Well, it is NOT ok. It's starting to burn into my Undata colony. And it's. Gotta. Go.

Anyone have any suggestions for the eradication of this stuff? I'm normally not in the business of killing living things, but it's a destructive force that I don't need in my tank.

i had green star polyps spreading all over my rock and getting close to SPS frags... i just used epoxy, covered it up 100%. The epoxy does not always stick well, you can add a couple dabs of super glue to it... I would tell anyone with green star polyps to isolate on a rock so it cannot spread. I'm not sure if that soft coral would be the same situation. Some soft corals spread even if they are on a isolated rock(like my kenyi tree)

Ugh... I just hate the look of epoxy. But if that's the only way, thats what I'll have to do. I really didn't want the star polyp, it was a hitchhiker.. Along with some majano that a quick filefish rental took care of. I was hoping it might start going after the BSP like it did when I first put him in the tank, but so far he hasn't touched it after the majano buffet. I've also heard of kalk paste on them. Got any idea about that?
