Picked up a new BTA it's fairly small the food it maybe 1/2". It did a lot of moving the first day and settled into it's current location. It has been there for 2 days now but always looks really sad at night. First picture is just when my lights start to sunset second is about a hour later. I turned them on for a better picture.

Is he ok the LFS guy seemed a bit rough getting him off the rock he was on but while acclimating he seemed fluffy and happy.

They will close up some in the dark like most soft type corals

It's super mad right now a snail is cleaning it's rock. It is now totally deflated.

My BTA deflates totally every night and then fully expands every day with lights out/on. Some say this is abnormal some say it’s normal.
who knows........

I love the things but I just don't get them. Figured I'd ask to be safe. I had one for about 2 years then it just gave up previously it released it's foot and ran away from it's hosting clown and died. I haven't had once for a few years now.

Update:
Totally normal for BT Nems to inflate especially at night.
Update
He has now relocated towards the back of the same rock. Seems like he is getting more flow here. My gyre is set to Lps random. BTAs are so weird.
