Working on a display refugium, My intent for it is a primarily a pod Farm as well as some nutrient reduction. I have a 60 cube with a few fish and plan on adding a mandarine after the pods mature.

Currently i have a 29gallon tank from petco, i plan on drilling it when i decide on the overflow type i want to set up. Just need to do some planning.

As for as algae i am thinking some Green and Red Gracilaria
Maybe some Red bush algae.
Any other algae types that would be good for a display refugium?

I heard for this setup i would need pretty low flow. I was advised by my LFS to set up a 3 inches of mud and 1 inch of sand on top. I would prefer to set up a normal DSB. Would this be the route you guys would take?

Also i will be plumbing it to my sump, So the water will go from the skimmer section of my sump to the Refugium and overflow back into the return section.
