Hello all,

i hope i can get some input on this. The input and out will have similar setup.

is this okay. Slip Bulkhead + pvc pipe glued + pvc threaded adapter glue + Barb hose adapter

i will be attaching vinyl hose to the barb end

this should work just fine, but is one of the reasons i like to use threaded bulkhead fittings.
[/QUO

the threaded barb elbow is a tight fit to turn. Need some elbow grease on that. I will put teflon tape

I redid my bulkheads. Let me know what u guys think.

1.5 Drain:
Slip x threaded Bulkhead + threaded barb adapter + silicone elbow + barb connector union + clear pool hose

3/4 return:
Threaded x threaded bulkhead + thread barb adapter + vinyl tubing

Are the plastic strong enough?

Stainless steel clamps still will rust?

Yeah, that's the beauty of hose clamps. The force on them is relatively small.

I checked and the last time I bought mine from Marine Depot.

a lot of the automotive grade hose clamps have stainless bands but the screw you tighten is just plated mild steel...you may do better at a boat supply store...check the screw with a magnet...if it sticks its not stainless

Pick 316 stainless if its an option. Its designed for salt applications and other chlorides.
