Simple question. If my salt mixes to 11 alkalinity. Where should I keep my calcium and mag. Or should I bring down the alk first then maintain? If so how should I go about bringing it down? Tia

I like to keep my alk at 8. My salt mixes to around 10 or so with a calcium of around 420 so I raise calcium to around 480 and that brings my alk down to around 8.3 usually.

My calcium usually sits around 440. Alkalinity which I just got the test kit for was at 11. Is this a decent area to be in?

That should be in the range of ok but I believe that having a higher alk means you have to also have higher nitrates and phosphates.
