Calculating Head Pressure

I know that for every 90 you put into your return piping it equals 1 foot of head pressure. So my question is while figuring out the head pressure and you use a tee and split the return:
1. Does the tee count as two 90s ?
2. And if after the split they are about the same do you figure in each 90 or just figure for one side?

The tee is calculated as a 90 and a) 90s are calculated as well as the number of feet of pipe. You can increase head pressure in your favor by making your pvc as large as practical. That reduces friction. Google has some good info.
 
Yes. I think for every 1 foot of vertical pipe it's about 1 foot of head pressure. So after the tee if you were to go up another foot on each side would it be calculated as 1 foot or 2 feet?

1 foot for the vertical height and 2 feet for the pipe length to calculate equivalent headloss from friction.

My fault...I don't think I've been very clear on what I'm asking. My plan is to have dual returns coming from one pump. Does each side need to be calculated into it ? Or do I just need to calculate it for one side?
 
The head pressure on the pump comes from two different sources (gravity and frictional losses) Gravity is just the distance between the water levels between the return section of the sump and the display tank. The frictional losses you use all fittings and pipe to calculate this.
 
Ok so the vertical run only needs to be figured in once but the length of pipe after the tee needs to be figured for twice along with 90s. Thanks for the help and please let me know if I'm wrong
