It's hard to tell the true color under all the fluorescence, but it looks like either an orange or pink tipped black torch (could be Aussie or Indo). It looks similar to my Indo black torch.
Yeah thanks I really am not sure as far as the light setting and my camera I'm using my phone the pictures were taken with a app called aquarium Cam that I really don't know how to use so as far as getting correct pictures I'm kinda not very good there
but I was thinking torch too it came to me I think by mistake and now I'm trying to first of all keep it alive because it's beautiful second of all trying to figure out how it will play into my reef which is an 80 gallon shallow which I just have removed the sand added to the aquascape rocks and then battling right now Hair Algae.
Right now I have another torch in the aquarium I will show you with a picture that has been thriving through two different aquariums now it's probably the only coral I have left that really can't seem to hurt it but at the same time I have wondered about cutting the base closer so it won't stick up as far as you can see in the pictures
Forgot the pics. As you can see if you scan through the pictures the last picture is the brown algae I have now I kinda put all the pictures in because I'm pulling hair out of my head trying to figure out the best way to go about setting up this bare bottom reef that I have in the works.
I believe you can see where the algae started from green to where it is now I know this is because of my nutrient imbalance because I have been having all kinds of trouble keeping phosphates in line. I am dosing my own mixture of potassium phosphate and potassium nitrate using Neptune DOS for dosing. Have been doing a pretty good job at keeping them consistent but a few times the phosphates have just dropped to zero with no warning hope I can get them dialed in soon
I think you can see from the pictures that I have new corals on a frag rack. I didn't realize my allergy breakout would be so bad to stop me from putting the SPS on the rocks.
On the lower fairly shaded areas I plan on putting the Cyphastrea and the Goniopora on the bottom too.
One question I have been trying to get an answer to our trying to figure out the best way to go about it is I realize that the Goni can go on the glass and I would like to put some Palys on the bottom too and hope that the Cyphastrea will spread and form a carpet in the lower lighted areas I am at a loss add the best way to mount the quarrels on the bottom as far as super glue I'm not really sure and I do notice that my rockwork slides really easy even though it lays flat on the bottom I would hope that someone with bare bottom reef could give me some pointers thanks in advance for this being such long winded and hope I explained things close enough where some more questions will make everything clear but I'm not really sure thank you again in advance
