Alrighty..... Need a little help with this one guys. I received a one polyp frag of CAR about 3 months ago. Since then it has only budded one baby polyp. The baby polyp always looks ****** off and it's skirt does not fully open. All tank parameters are in check and I have quite a few other zoa frags that have atleast tripled in size but just can't figure out the sweet spot for this polyp. Right now it's in low flow in the sand bed of my 20" high cube. Lighting is 150w MH xm 20k. Where do you zoa experts have you're CAR's for good growth? All your help is appreciated.

I had mine about midway up in a 20" tall tank under 4 bulb T5s in moderate flow. They did really well there for me in growth and color. Where ever you decide to move them just be sure to give them adequate time to adjust before you move them again.

I've kept mine about half way up with a good amount of flow. seems to have been the best place to get the most color and growth out of them.

I have mine on the sandbed with medium flow, color is good but growth is moderate, thinking of moving them up just a little bit. They are in my 75 under a 6 bulb t5......2 Fiji purple, 3 blue +, 1 aquablue special

I have 3 different colonies from the same polyp and they have the best color and growth for me under high light and medium flow. I started with 2 polyps in jan of last year and now the main colony is 75+ polyps. The other 2 are about 15-20 polyps. The main colony is about 10" below a 250w 14k phoenix DE halide. The others are about 12" below a 4 bulb T5 and 10" below a 12 bulb T5 fixture.
