Candy cane growth?

My candy cane has this 'inflation' on its stem. I don't know how to describe it. It's colorless and when I shined a flashlight on it, it closed up. Hard to take a pic of it but it's on the low right of the green head. I would swear it's a new head that hasn't colored up but I've never seen something like it... Any ideas?

Has this moved at all? Looks to be a nudibranch or sea slug in shape. Hard to see in the pictures.
 
Okay, yes with better pictures it looks like a bivalve. Which one, don't know? It shouldn't be a problem, but it's interesting that it attached to the base of the caulastrae.
