Hey everyone im getting too anxious and impatient saving my money for my new led light

But anyways let me tell u a little about me.I have a biocube 14 with about 25lbs of fiji live rock, I have one small tomato clown and about 8 blue legged hermits

My tank has been set up and healthy for over six months now. My water quality is perfect all levels at 0..I do a 5 gallon water change once a week and I use no filtration other then my live rocks.

For the past couple weeks ive been putting a little extra money aside for a decent led light but thats gonna take a lil while.. im just getting so impatient and too anxious for a few corals in my aquarium.

I was wondering do u guys think its possible for me to start getting a couple of less light demanding corals in my biocube 14? I know the colors wont be as vivid as they would in an aquarium with a better light setup but thats ok with me for now just anxious to purchase a couple frags.

I appreciate all comments

Honestly, I would wait to add the corals until you have a sufficient light. Many of the corals that you could add can become nuisance corals. By saying this, I mean that they will grow like weeds. This can be an issue when you want to add more corals. They can be overrun by them.

The old saying of patience being a virtue is magnified here ... Nothing can be rushed with a reef tank without costing extra money and loss of life. be patient, make sure everything is perfect with lighting and water flow. Also, if you are not using the built in filtration in the back of the tank, make sure you remove all the media from these chambers and siphon the water for your water changes from there vacuuming up any detritus that gets stuck in there as it will become a nitrate sink. Be patient, nothing happens fast in this hobby.

Wait

Never rush in this hobby. That is when problems later arise. You've been patient this long, wait it out you will be happier in the long run. If you really have to put something in get a fake one.

Yea, you'll be more than safe adding moderate ligthing corals to your tank, those power compacts will work ok for you at this point. 6 months is plenty of time for your system to handle corals.
Kenya Trees
Zoas, Palys
Nepthea
Possibly some LPS added higher to your rock.
