Carbon absorb reef supplements?

curious, does carbon absorb and remove reef supplements? I know the purpose of carbon is to absorb odors and contaminates but does it also remove supplements such as continuum exponential? I rarely run carbon, but when I do I don't want to waste the supplements if the carbon will just remove them from the tank

Well it says to dose the continuum exponential 2-3 times a week. Carbon lasts at least a week +
