So yesterday my beautiful and quite large rbta split. Anyone have any tips for taking care of it after?

Here's a pic before it split

You don't have to do anything. Do not try to feed them until you see a fully formed mouth on them (about two weeks). After splitting neither one will have a mouth. Just keep your water quality up to par and that's it. Good luck!

Alright. I've got a lot of people on top of me to sell them a baby. How long should I wait and more importantly how much should I try to get for it? Baby is 3-4" I've got a list of friends I was thinking whoever is first $40

I'd wait until it has fully healed and thriving again; possible a month. Price is entirely up to you :)

I believe it may be a "rainbow" lol not sure what they go for

My RBTA split into 4. He was HUGE before the split. I lost 1 very small one right away. I would say just keep your water quality good and wait til they heal.

i didnt do anything when mine split. just kept the water quality good as usual and that seemed to be fine. theyre a pretty hardy nem from what i can tell
