I have three Peppermint Shrimp in my 57 gallon reef tank. They are picking at some of my corals. I have a Duncan that they are picking on and will not open anymore. I would like to get them out of the tank. I don't want to tank the tank apart though. A lot of live rock and corals. Anybody have a suggestion how to catch? Will the water bottle trick work with shrimp?

It might... I would try and place it near the duncans or their favorite hiding place. They might be a little more equipped to get out, so this might be a glass-watching event... haha

The water bottle trick with some krill or mysis works great! It will most likely have to be over night though..

I may be havinf\g a simialr experience too

I may have the same issue too. They did take care of the Aptashia , witha funny bonus . I have some anthalia that I wanted to remove. THe shrimp have been damaging them for 2 nights untill I removed what was left. Hmmmm. I have 3 in my reef(75g) I'm still watching for now.

 for now.

Only thing I got to work is take a drinking glass get like a inch of air in the top of it in your tank then let a whole piece of frozen food float to the top of the glass it will because of the air in the top hold it like an inch from sand the shrimp will go up in the glass then bam trap them scoop your net under the glass and you got them. It's the only way that worked for me after they destroyed 700 of so in corals

I had to rip all my rockwork apart to get my pair out
