I have what I think are 2 different cespitularias; the right is per lfs ORA purple Vargas. The left has tan ploys as opposed to white ones, so I'm wondering if this is ORA blue cespitularia. Both have that metallic body sheen under certain lighting. They also grow quite quickly. Photo taken with 12K lighting

1) Is the left one blue cespitularia, or am I mistaken?

2) I haven't found anything definitive, but should I dose iodine? If so, how? I also run a refugium, so macroalgae would also be consuming this.

Looks like a blue cespitularia to me. No need to dose iodine if you do water changes often enough. A refugium is a good idea if nutrients are causing issues. Are you have issues with nusiance algae?

I had some cyano localized to the sandbed but nowhere else; I stirred it manually and that has resolved. I attribute that to decaying food in the sandbed and not enough cleaners (Nassarius for me). With the refugium addition, my nitrates are now < 1/phosphate < 0.05 (and I get to trade dragon's breath and chaeto now, which is cool!).

Thanks for the feedback; iodine is the biggest worry I have. Rapid spread and harming other corals is #2! They get the front right corner for that reason.
