Cheap way to create random flow

OUTLET WINKER, PLUG-IN OUTLET WINKER, POLARIZED OUTLET WINKER, OUTLET FLASHER, PLUG-IN OUTLET FLASHER

I found one of these things at my shop so i decided to give it a try, so far it has worked great. I have been using one with a cheap ebay 800gph powerhead in my aquarium for almost a week now and so far ive had no trouble. Got to say its just like using my mp10 on short pulse mode. Hope you guys finds this useful and i will definitely keep you updated on how dependable it is with time.

Very cool! Reminds me of the old school wave maker power strips that worked similarly. Price is real nice too.
Curious, what are these actually used for?

so far its still going strong for me. The only issue is the impeller on the power head makes a slight clunking noise everytime it kicks back on, its been doing it since day one and have yet to have a problem with it. with a better powerhead im sure this wouldnt be an issue. keep in mind that the one im using cost 18 bucks on ebay and really isnt meant for use with any kind of wavemaker.
