If you're opening Christmas cards with glitter on them don't put your hand in the tank right afterwards. I did. I can see some glitter flakes in there and some of my fish are going after them. Are they going to poop glitter. Lol. Seriously though, should I be overly concerned about this?

No. fish are smarter than we give them credit for. You have an overflow? Usually will be filtered out quickly with sock.
