Hi all

I’m new to marine aquariums and have just set up my first tank( nitrogen cycle complete).
I’ve added a few turbo snails and hermit crabs to help withe the algae, but wandered will it be ok to add a clam. If so what type do you recommend? I’ve got a 20 gallon tank and not looking to add fish really.
Thanks for any advice.

You would have better luck posting in the clam forum. But to answer your question, clams are better suited for mature tanks. I believe most recommend to wait at least a year. Derasa clams are the easiest to keep. You will need fairly good lighting to keep one long term.

Thanks for your speedy reply. Sorry still getting the hang of using this forum.
