Can I put a Black Ice Snowflake clown with a Platinum Clown in a biocube 29 with hopes of them pairing up?

Do you know the sex of each fish (if yet established)? Don't want to end up with two females.

I haven't bought the platinum yet. Only have the black ice snowflake right now. My plan was to buy A smaller platinum

Definitely buy smaller platinum then. Other topic is species....Ocellaris and Percula, and if I'm not mistaken (and could very well be) the Ice is a Percula and the Platinum is an Ocellaris.

Some say it will work and others say no. I would suggest waiting for others to chime in. My only experience mixing didn't go well but so many others say they've never had an issue.

Usually getting a smaller 2nd clown is the safest bet. I just added an "undecided" Darwin in with my regular ocellaris that had already been in the tank and they paired instantly. But they always have a change of not pairing of course. Most of the time it happens after a day or so from what I've heard. As far as mixing the species, I've seen several people with perc/ocellaris pairs so I know it can happen. I think the best chance you have is if both fish are still small. Adults would be less likely.

If you like the look of the platnium but want to stick with the same same species you could go with a wyoming white.

That is exactly what I was looking for. Now the question beckons is what name to get. I've read that the wyoming only hosts carpets.
