So I've noticed since I"ve gotten my clownfish about 3 months ago, that they have began to get a much darker coloring? Is this just a sign of them maturing, and showing that they're eating well? Is this a sign that they have paired up?

They were a much brighter orange when I first got them, and they have become more black over the past few months.

Thanks!

Captive bred orange ocellaris clownfish and sometimes percula seem to "brown" a little on the top as they mature IME. I've only ever seen a couple of adult orange ocellaris clownfish that were completely orange from top to bottom and I'm pretty sure they were really old, so perhaps an older breeding stock/genetic lineage. All of the orange clowns I have owned got a little darker towards the top of their body as they aged.
