Hello,

I wanted to get some opinions on compatability from people who hopefully are more familiar with clownfish than myself.

I have a pink skunk clown that I got a year ago, but I was looking at a clown at my lfs and wanted to know the compatabilty between a pink skunk (no clue of male or female) and a lightning maroon that is for sure female. Do skunk clown follow the same compatabilty guidelines as occelaris and other types of clowns?

Thank you

Skunk clowns are among the mellower clownfish - maroons among the most aggressive - and the largest. This ... is not going to be a good mix.

I should think that if she's been solo for so many years, your skunk clown is almost certainly female.

Agree except I’ve seen some very aggressive skunk clowns, particularly pink.

Maroon are however without a doubt more aggressive and mixing clown species is not advised, unless in a very very large tank.
