So this morning i woke up seeing only the smaller version of my coupled clownfish.
The little clownfish is acting very cautious. His female buddy is gone!
i've looked in the filter and behind the most common places.
I've searched for places beside the tank but i cant find my "her" anymore.
This fish was doing very well and i had them both for about 5 months.
I do have a cyano bact. problem that comes back every now and then.. and this morning i found a very large bristle worm :(
i test my water levels every 2 weeks at my LFS and it has been fine so far.

But.. in the past month. A small anemone dissapeared. A really small baby blue tang dissapeared (which i very much regret buying in the first place)
and now my most beloved fish. The one of my paired clownfish :(

What should i do?

The anemone could've died, if it were small you wouldn't really have noticed a difference in WQ either,
Are there other predators in the tank? What's the fish in the bottom left corner I can't quite ID her, and on the 3rd pic, is that a bristle worm?

Do you have any cats? They could have jumped tank and the cat dragged them off somewhere. Otherwise, they may have died and the bristleworms ate them. take a look at your tank at night to see if there are any predatory worms hiding about.

You havent heard and snapping/clicking coming from your aquarium, have you?

What size tank is this?

Well it was the biggest of the two that died.
As you can see i have one bristleworm that is like 10 cm long :/ Im a little scared of it and im not sure if he is the actual problem. I've read that he can hurt the fish with his sting.

The fish in the corner is a Amblygobius semicinctus

I do not have any cats or other animals.
I do think he died but its strange how it just dissapears in 8 hours. Can a bristleworm do that?
Nope, i havent heard any snapping or clicking. only some splashing water. The clowns liked to sleep on their side against the skimmer at the surface.

Edit: And its a 18 gallon tank

I see a crab. He could have munched on the fishes. But not cause the deaths.

Eight hours seems pretty quick for total fish consumption, I’m looking below (floor, etc.) the tank surface for jumper. How tight is your top?
Fish can disappear completely in 8 minutes. 8 hours is forever.

That is one monster worm. I wouldn't want it in my tank but that's me. I'm allergic to them anyhow.

I dont want it in my tank anymore either. Its just a matter of how am i going to catch it.
I'm thinking about taking out the live rock that i have, put it in a bucket and fish out out that way.

If it died then the worms, snails and crabs in the tank would make very quick work of it.
No chance it's just stuck in behind the filter and the glass or something silly like that?

I guess you are right. I'm pulling stuff out of my aquarium as we speak.

It could have jumped out of my aquarium, but yet again, i cant find "her" anywhere outside of the aquarium either.
