I built my sump for a fug but my tank is stable so I didn’t want to change much. My nitrates are low so I was like well I can add some fish to try and make some. Hence the nano tank sump idea Something Than said in a Tidal Gardens video got me thinking about a refugium idea...A macro algae 'fuge designed like a freshwater planted tank. It got me thinking and it might be part of my tank build!

thanks! I love the positive feedback, but I really want to see others that have maybe tried something like this.It is super cool!
Fuge is chaeto grower, pod grower, starfish grower for harlequin.thanks! I love the positive feedback, but I really want to see others that have maybe tried something like this.
I thought about a shrimp tank. I really did but my nem was stinging corals after 2 frags went to the light I figured I would use this as a way to train clowns to hostWoahhh
That is really cool! I watch a Youtube channel (Melev's Reef) and he does something similar with his refugium, he has several BTAs and clowns amoung his Caulerpa. It looks sick, to say the least. I would personally love to do something similar when I get my new tank set up, but instead of clowns I would cultivate grass shrimp (to feed frogfish and stuff).
right I am simply just not using it for that I do not have any need for any of those atmFuge is chaeto grower, pod grower, starfish grower for harlequin.
