Coolest snail ever?

Hey guys!

I have finally come to the realization that the weird growth on my snail is in fact some sort of clam or mussel or something? And not, as I had previously thought some freaky weird calcification growth!

I dont know if this is a -Good- critter or not but I am thoroughly amused by my sudden realization as it has been growing on there for a good month or two!
Any ideas what it is?

Also - I have just noticed as of yesterday when I turned the flow off to kill some aptasia that I have many thousands of (?)copepods on the glass, powerheads and algae! (Which im not allowed to trim because my wife thinks its pretty lol) Im super tickled by this and wanted to know if this assumption was correct (and sorry I dont have bigger closeup of them!)

Vids aren’t loading… and the algae on the powerhead pic will wind up in your impeller if you don’t get it off

Aww boo! It loaded on my other computer so not sure whats going on there! Here's a pic:

Yeah I went on an algae cull just recently since I finally got my sump running with some chaeto. I've still got some scraping to do and then I'll give my powerheads a clean. No point doing it while I'm still going to stir up more trouble!

It is def some type of bivalve… harmless, and good filter feeder. Gonna get heavy on that shell though lol
