So I've come to the conclusion that I have Coolia dinos.

I can't find anything on how to treat them. (don't have a UV and I can't afford one right now)

General dino therapy is to elevate your no3 to around 10ppm and po4 to 0.1ppm and keep it steady. Increase diversity in the tank...adding bacteria, pods, a piece of real live rock, etc... Coolia are not very common, though.... are you sys you have this variety? Posting microscope pics will help to ensure the identification. Also list your tank parameters and age, etc...

Coolia are susceptible to UV and can be pushed into the water column with a blackout.

Definitely looks like coolio dinos. If you could get your hands on a cheaper or used UV system, that may help greatly!

I attempted an 8w green killing machine in a 20g long coral quarantine tank that was useless, though. But, i was/am dealing with small cell amphidinium dinos.

I'm looking for one now. Covid messed with my work so any money i get has to go towards my home and can't put much into my tank unfortunately. Is there anything that I can do in the mean time to help start getting rid of them?

A quick thing to help reduce their populations can be to use small micron sized socks. Set up a 1, 5, or 10 micron sock into your sump and vacuum your rocks and sand to capture only the particles and keep the water in your system.

Coolio dinos are around 30-50 microns in size.

I don't think this will make them completely go away, but it can reduce their populations greatly... but it needs to be done regularly.
