Figured I'd post some feedback on Coral Collection since there wasn't much out there. I decided to purchase a lemon drop bta from them about 2 weeks ago. I had to personally email them to find out the ship date. I was informed they were on "vacation" and I'd be able to choose the ship date any day the following week. Of course, excited and impatient I choose Tuesday delivery. The Friday prior I emailed them yet again to confirm the ship date since I emailed Krystn/Matt the day I wanted the nem delivered. The response I received confirmed my feelings about purchasing through them. Apparently, they were "robbed" and some highend livestock was taken. I find this strange since I never heard of an aquarium store being robbed of it's livestock. Still they said they had the lemon drop bta and they had to push the delivery date back to thursday now. Well here we are Monday and I received an email from Matt stating the exact same story Krystn told me on Friday EXCEPT now the lemon drop bta I purchased was STOLEN. Matt advised me he'll "try his best" to get me a lemon drop by thursday (which we know that won't happen" so I emailed him back saying since they don't have the anemone and the delivery date is uncertain I wanted a refund. It's only been a few hours but I decided to papertrail everything since it's a $500 nem I opened a dispute on paypal and recorded everything. I mean it's not hard to logon to paypal and click refund payment however knowing these people it'll take forever and I don't have time for it. I have an opportunity to purchase one here on r2r. This is MY experience with Coral Collection. I'm not sure how they treat or worked with others but I'll never do buisness with them again NEVER. Horrible communication and to be honest I don't think they ever had the lemon drop but that's just my instinct. I knew I should of purchased through someone else instead. Hope this helps!! I'll post once refund is received which hopefully should be done soon.

I should add through this entire process not once did they ever apologize for the inconvenience this caused me. It just goes to show they don't value customer service.

That sucks man and Goodluck.

Btw, a reputable vendor on my local board just posted caveat thread and he said live animals are technically not covered under PayPal protection. I don't know if that's true or not but that's the first time I heard that.

Yeah it may be true but I never received my item so that would be irrelevant. Thanks for sharing though

Had to open a paypal claim since they weren't returning my emails regarding my refund. This store must seriously need money if they can't even refund $500. Just more time and hassle I have to go through just to get my money back. Hint for anyone skeptical of a store, use a visa and not paypal. You'll get your money back quicker wish I did.

Ordered from them last week Wednesday 1/20/16 scheduled for delivery today in which we agreed upon , I emailed yesterday for shipping confirmation and never got a response back, however prior from purchasing they were very responsive. I took off of work to receive my 2 bta's and paly frag so hopefully they come in today.

Yeah I got my refund after filing a dispute through paypal. I gave them 2 days to answer me and they didn't so all in all it took about a week to get my refund back. The guy Matt over there and his employees can be scammers so be careful. Hopefully they shipped it for ya but I'd lean towards a not. The funny thing is, like you said, they'll contact the heck out of you prior to your purchase but once the money is received it's a different story. They'll contact you with some crazy story about how they got robbed lol and guess what your corals/anemones were part of the robbery! What did you order? Good luck

It's not really right for them to treat you the way they did. But I need to clarify, Reef Shops have stuff stolen all the time. There's one shop in my home town of Stockton, CA that keeps all their corals behind locked glass doors kind of like the ones they use for reptiles. Here was a story on reef builders a few years ago. https://reefbuilders.com/2013/01/24/thieves-rob-local-fish-store-caught-tape/

I spoke with Matt (owner) today and he said it was due to the weather out on the east coast that delayed my shipping...however I'm in the Midwest but whatever the case he said he'll throw in a few frags extra and I should receive it Tuesday. I'll keep a clear mind til then. The products they show are absolutely stunning so I'll keep my fingers crossed. I'll update once this is situated because I really want my nems lol

Wow, and to think i was considering placing an order with these guys. Thank you all for the information. Jerad53 please keep us updated

I have had the same experience with this vendor when I purchased 3 inferno BTA. He stalled for 2 months with excuse after excuse so I filed a paypal dispute and got my money back. They are a scam pure and simple.

Well after a phone call to Coral Collection yestersay they shipped my order and I just received it about 15 minutes ago...while I was somewhat skeptical about the whole thing from others experiences I'll say that I'm actually beyond satisfied...in ordered 1 frag of Darth Maul Paly and it has 4 heads on it..my glowstick anemone is much bigger then I anticipated and it absolutely beautiful! The acid rain bta is about a 3rd of the size but still both look healthy and the foot isn't damaged...so I guess the key to ordering from them is to call them and stay on top of your order...I personally think between Matt and Krystin they lack communication between each other since each one said they give me something different for the inconvenience lol but honestly I'm very pleased and will post pics after acclimation

Here they are

Fact of the matter is, I only said positive things about them because they were giving me free stuff in which I really just wanted the stuff I ordered...the glowstick nem was a beaut but is dead along with the other bta :-/ that being said..if you order from them make sure you are bugging them until you get a tracking number
