I need help on the best way to grow coralline algae. I have tried everything, like the purpleup supplement or taking a tooth brush and scraping the algae off the live rock but nothing will work . it wont stick

my sump grows it like a champ.... my display not so much... I think I clean the glass too much (ocd) but if your levels are good... it just takes time... I am assuming your tank is fairly young

How old is the tank and what are the params?

I've found that once you get your alk/calc stable it'll come on its own but usually it takes time.

You've got to have the elements correct in your tank for it to grow.
MAG-1250-1350
CAL- 420-480
ALK- 7-12dKK
Nitrates very low 10 or under
Phosphates .05-.03

It will grow, then you will be asking us how to get rid of it.

Is this corraline algae because im trippen out ???

In all things concerning a marine aquarium PATIENCE is the key word. Stop wasting your money on Purple UP and let nature take it’s course. Coralline algae comes on your LR or must be introduced to your tank from another source. Purple up is not a source of coraline algae but calcium with a purple dye. It doesn’t do the trick in my experience.

No purpose at all. To some who have a ton of it, its called a pain in the butt algae.

Keep Kh levels up and it should start going so much you'll be having fur scraping it off everything. Each tank is different so, as recommended, be patient.

Ok while I got yalls attention is it ok to introduce a lot of fish and coral at the same time. Will it affect the fish already in the tank badly or does it really matter

Definitely not okay to do that. You'll crash your tank and kill everything. My rule of thumb I've always used is one fish every 3 months, unless adding a schooling fish such as anthias. And judging by your questions I'm assuming you're new to the hobby, so I'd stay away from harder fish.

In order for your coralline algae to grow, you need to to basically eradicate the other competing algae. You can do this by adding gfo in order to rid the tank of the nuisance algae. Getting a good cleaner crew is always the best way to go. get some astrea snails to help clean the nuisance algae. If you don't have a piece of rock with coralline then you should get one. The coralline spores on the rock will disperse itself in the tank and begin to grow. It will initially start to show as white specks on your glass. Make sure to keep your parameters in check. It will take some time to really get it going but like Hellsinki said "Patience Grasshopper".

I wish I could do 1 fish every 3 months... I have a sailfin and yellow belly hippo that chase around and stress out and untimely kill anything I try to add. My next option is to add 3 fish at once so they can't pick on one continuously. My tank is 300g so I don't think adding 3 fish will change it too much. A smaller tank I'm sure wouldn't be a great idea. Idk I'm out of options... :/

With an aggressive Zebrasoma, you cannot add a peaceful shy fish. You need a fish that can hold his own against . So some fish you may need to cross off wish list, since Tang is in already.
Or net Tang and place in sump , while you add other fish to display. Rearrange rock , then reintroduce Tang after 3 months. An established tank of more docile fish is different , than adding a peaceful fish to Tang's domicile .
Fish I would try with Tang:
Clown fish( Especially maroons are equally mean)
Flame Hawk
Reef safe Triggers- Pink tailed or Blue Throat
Dwarf Angels( depending on what invertebrates you want. Angels differ in what they pick at. Clams, open Brain coral, seem most likely to be picked to death. Zoanthids, mushrooms, leathers they ignore. In my tanks, they pick occasionally at SPS, but never kill.
Lion Fish
Tangs can be very rough on more peaceful Fairy wrasses . Especially since he is in first. If fairy wrasses are in first, then probably Tang is not so aggressive to them.
