Cpr Aquafuge help

I just picked up a steal on a large cpr aquafuge for my jbj 45 AIO. Problem is the pump sits too high in the rear chamber of my tank. I need to lower the pump like 6" somehow. Have any of you done this? I've searched and can't find a thread. I have my lighting, chaeto, and everything ready. Just trying to save some time engineering this on my own. Thanks in advance.
