Creepy creature caught!

I have enough clean up crew. Do you have evidence or reference for your claim?

Other than personal experience with them? No. That isn't my forte. However, you can read up on them via searching and come up with your own conclusion I'd wager. Fireworm is a type of bristleworm. That I know. I also know they are scavengers with the exception of the Eunice which has a pretty bad predatory track record and scares everyone. I think it was Dr. Shimek who has a lot of research on this worm.

My personal experience is that they scavenge and eat excess food. I've never had a single fish or coral loss attributed to them. Because of this I leave them alone and use them to judge by overall tank husbandry skills. Feed too much, too much excess, and I'll see their population tend to grow. Feeding just about right and it is a balance. I have soft corals, lps corals, and rose bubble tip anemones.

This is just my experience and opinion. Nothing that I'd document or have peer reviewed if that is what you are asking. Again, Dr. Shimek (sp) and search on bristle / fire worm should get you what you are after. If in doubt or concerned then banish away.

Who puts money in their mouth? I wash my hands every time I handle any currency. I placed it next to him for reference, he crawled right on it. That 20 is in the store right now. They have no idea :D
How dare you assume what we do to pay for our tanks
