Lets see some cube tank scapes pictures and how you have your flow set abd the reasoning behind it. I'm still not happy woth my cube tank with center overflow on back wall and center scape woth one gyre pump up on back glass. Suggestions and pics are highly appreciated.

I have a 5'x5'x3' Not quite a cube. I have 4ea MP60's. 3ea on the back wall and one on a side. Down low.
The side and middle one of 3 on the back wall are on the middle speed at a constant rate.
The other 2 on the back wall are at the edges of the panel at about middle height. I have them come on and off thru out the day. I do have 3 sea swirls as returns. That produces my random flow.
I have spaces in my rockwork too allow for the flow from my MP60's.

Only a 2 foot cube here, 60 gallons, but I much prefer it in the corner with 2 sides viewable and rock from corner to corner. Even against the back wall as I go bare-bottom with lots of flow. Right now I have 2 small gyres opposite each other and will add 2 more powerheads in different direction.

Older pics when gyres were on each back wall. Moved one so they are opposite eachother.

48/48/24. 4MP40’s. Two on the back wall and 2 on the left side then a gyre pump on the overflow box. Vortechs are running random flow through mobius and the gyre is just a consistent flow on 50%. Gets some good turbulent flow in there by switching directions and power.

I have a 45G 24"x24"X18" cube that I drilled and installed a slim overflow box and a return onto. I have my cube scape with a crescent island centered on the back right corner and a tower island in the front left corner. I find it very pleasing to the eye.

As for flow I keep a MP10 on the back wall just underneath the return pipe. Also I try and keep the back wall clean so that it keeps the illusion of depth and hides the MP10 on the back wall and the return pipe. Also I made sure to keep the rock a couple of inches away from the back glass so that I can easily clean it.

Purchased a used tank and drilled it to add a slim overflow and return pipe. Love the slim overflow box as it is not very noticable and doesn't take up much real estate:

System up and running with water. You can barely see the overflow and MP10 when looking at the tank:
