I just bought some dry rock and was wondering if I need to cure it, if it never was live rock? The rock is Bowl Rock.

I would. I would at least soak in RO/DI and see if it generates a Phosphate reading after a week. If it does I would bleach them (or whatever your preferred method) and continue curing.

I should also ask are there reefers here that use this rock I think it also might be called, Mexican Bowl rock. I know it’s not a calcareous rock so it won’t be adding calcium to the tank but will it still benefit the reek tank. I guess I should have gone home to do research on this rock before buying but I thought with it being sold in a LFS it would be good. I liked it because there were quiet a few nice flat pieces. By the way this is going into a already established tank.

Never heard of it. It looks porous, just be sure there are no metals in it.
