Im thinking about having a custom made tank, with starfire glass, So I am curious as to what all builders I should contact.. Im in Kansas...

Reef Savvy is out, Too much price for me. Yes, I know you get wat you pay for, and I know there tanks are awesome, but still, too much.

Custom tanks are not cheap I looked at a lot when I got mine made and reef Savvy actually was the best price overall. You could check miracles, or deep sea aquatics.

a LFS is opening up around here and they ordered all there tanks from miracles in glass, included 40x40g breeders 10x125g long rimless and a 840g display tank. I was able to pick up one of there extras 125g and the workmanship is nothing but the best. id recommend them.

Miracles is going to be just as expensive. Have you gotten a quote from Reefsavvy? After seeing their tanks in person my next tank will be made by them.

What size tank you looking to get?

Honestly, even thou Felix from ReefSavvy has slightly raised his prices due to the demand for his custom tanks, he's still one of the cheapest. There's no way around it, custom tanks are pretty expensive. Another (and cheaper) option would be Glasscages, but from all the negative reviews on the sloppy silicone work, I wouldn't recommend it. You could always go the commercial route (Rimless Oceanic Illuminata or Deep Blue), won't be as beautiful as a full blown custom tank, but much economical.

Im not looking for a huge tank, just a medium size, 70 gallon, 36 x 24 x 20, starfire tank.

Planet Aquarium. Builder used to make aquariums for Oceanic 15 years, before they were bought. He then went to Deep Sea Aquatics for 3 years, now he is out on his own. You can reach him via Rodney Hicks - 469-682-8841. Here are some examples -

I have tried Rodney, and have not received a response yet. I am trying Deep Sea aquatics as well, Ill look into marineland.

Planet Aquariums prices were actually cheaper than either a Marineland or Aqueon standard tank quoted from the LFS. Shipping may change that, but, you get what you pay for especially in this hobby.

+1 on the Planet Aquariums. They built my 225 with starphire, did an amazing job. (and about 40% less than Deep Sea's quote)

Great guys, even delivered it to my house in Norman, OK

Sorry to say but when you get into custom things are expensive but done to your specs. If it is a standard size look into standard tanks but if it is trully a specific custom design you want then do not look anywhere else but Reefsavvy. They will do anything you want and their quality is #1 (JMO) Good luck

the eurobracing comes inside the tank 3 or 4 inches, I never really measured.

Also, the back is black, the tank has dual overflows, and the bottom is PVC (standard on Planet Aquarium tanks, and a VERY expensive option from Deep Sea)
