canisters you have to keep very clean. I love mine btw. I only use it as mechanical, not biological, and you still have to clean it if you do. "nitrate factory". it will feed back into your tank. we have a few folks here who know some great set ups for that.pH 8. 1
Ammonia .1
Calcium 440
Kh 13
Salinity 1.019
It's been set up for 2+ years and I have always had a problem with cyano. Could it be my water I use? It's rodi water but I don't know how good it is since it comes from a power plant. I am running a simple canister filter and don't tell me you don't like it. I know plenty of people with canister filters on saltwater and they have beautiful tanks. I keep the temperature at 79 and the lights run a lot and I have blue lights at night. Once I turned the lights out for a few days and the algae was gone only to come Bach the very next.
Nitrate and Phosphate. What do you mean by no and Po. I clean the canister every 2 weeks I need to clean it more and I have phosphate remover and charcoal
