Can someone please tell me what is going on with my system? This morning I woke up to a tank covered in Cyano and it is on most of the corals also. Phosphates are reading 0.05 and nitrates are reading 0. I dose Calcium, Magnesium, and Alkalinity and started dosing AquaVitro Fuel. If anyone has an idea of whats going on I would love to hear it.

What phosphate test are you using, if not the Hanna ulr, then your phosphates are likely higher than .05. Either way with 0 nitrates, the ratio between nitrates and phosphates could be out of whack. I run my nitrates between 10-15, when my phosphates get higher than .08 with the hanna ulr, I start getting a spot of cyano here and there. I would bet the Fuel is adding phosphates, products like that usually does. I did a base line test using Red Sea Reef Energy, which is similar to the Fuel; and I saw 1st hand the phosphates rise.
