Cycling and algae

Hey guys ! So I just got my dr tims ammonia product and it says to add 4 drops per gallon to achieve 2 ppm. So the solution is in and my question is what are my steps from here? And also as for algae I recently asked yous about some of the brownish algae that has been growing but that seemed to go away with very little left over, but now I'm starting to see green algae. Is that normal ? If not, what's steps should I be taking? Thanks in advance guys!

Yea that fuzzy one one you should get out and scrub and dip in a peroxide solution. it wont kill the bacteria your after. but that fuzz will haunt you.

Mostly sit back and wait beyond that. you can shorten the photo period too. so its only on when you can see it if you want.

Umm.. you may want to check that.
My bottle said I need to add 1 drop per gallon to achieve 2ppm. Of course, it could have changed....

Yea.. I thought it was 1 drop per gallon too?

I agree mine says 1 drop a gallon as well

I'm 99.9 % sure my bottle said 4 bc I was confused because I heard others say 1 drop per gallon when I looked the product up. If for some reason I misread it what should I do for tank water because of the amount of ammonia.

GHA has to be introduced

diatoms however I have not studied in depth to locate the source.

I've seen studies that show some species of diatoms and cyano are both present in almost every square meter of air in at least small quantities.

Pretty sure the diatoms come from the silicates in your sand. Once that's eat up it will go away.

i didn't get anything until i put 2 clowns in my tank @ like week 4...i had the brown stuff kinda bad on the rocks that get the most light for about a week then about 75% of it went away, then i got it a little on my sand for a week but now its pretty much gone from the sand and just a little bit left on the rocks, last week my front and side glass would get green stuff on it pretty bad, i could scrape it all off in the morning and it would be back by night time, its not near as bad now....i already got coraline growing on my back glass
