Well, I couldn't get a pic, but I will try again tomorrow. I have 9 Blue Devil Damselfish and a Latz in my 180g. Today, I noticed a growth on the dorsal, top fin? Of one of my damselfish. It looks part blue, and part whitish. It's not ich. Cotton fin fungus? Dunno. But I have five yellow tangs going through the tank transfer quarantine process.

Now, Im scared to add the Tangs! Yikes. The Damsel went through TT as well, and yes, I spent more on salt than the price of the 9 damsels.

Question... do damsels sometimes get harmless growths on their fins that partly match their skin color, and partly look a little white?

Sounds like Lymphocysts. Its a nutritional thing. Are you feeding them well?

Would be best if you mixed it up. Mysis, Shrimp, Cyclopese, Brine, stuff long those lines.
