DIY macro algae reactor

Hi All
Please can anyone advise whether to buy a specialised macro algae reactor OR do the DIY thing with a normal media reactor and some LEDs. I’m very confused as to which is the most successful. Thank you.

Do you have room for refugium? If not, a DIY one is definitely cheaper than a pre made one but make sure you clean the inside of the reactor frequently. Also, don't get white light.
