Hey guys/gals, hope I'm posting this in the correct forum. I'm trying to get peoples opinions on w/ salt brands they prefer using while running a low nutrient system. I'm using Zeovit products & use aqua vitro's salinity. They print a label w/ nutrient content on the side of the bucket & it gives Alk/Cal/Mg readings @ 3 diff salinty & temps. Their lowest meq/l reading is 3.5 which is around 9.8 dKh. If I do a significant water change prob over 15 gal it's going to spike Alk in my tank & anyone who keeps sps knows this is a big no no. Sorry, I forgot to post my tank size it's 125gal w/ a 40 gal sump. Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated.

I am using Reefers best salt with no Issues. I only do small water changes each time so as not to disrupt my parameters too much. Never had a swing in alkalinity while using it. My thought is when you do large water changes that could potentially cause the parameters to get off. You would need to test beforehand and make adjustments to match the parameters in your tank.

Who carries this brand of salt? I don't have a huge issue w/ Aqua Vitro's brand & don't like changing salt brands very much. I'm just getting close to the btm of this bucket & it'd be convenient to change now if I could find another brand.

I just switched from Tropic Marin because I was getting some cyno Issues. I have read where others were having the same problems. Since I switched the cyno has gone away and I am very pleased. I bought mine from brs when they were having there annual sale on zeovit products.
