i have a 150 DD cube with 2 XR30 G4 pro's. do i need to supplement with T5 or led t5 equivalent? everything is on an Apex fusion system, so it would need to be controlled with Apex if i should. need suggestion just not sure I'm happy with current set up.

What in particular are you unhappy with?
just don't seem to have a very blueish look during the day. you know that color that makes the corals pop. maybe i just read a lot and see some others add to the lighting just not sure if I'm missing out or just don't have the correct setting through the apex

Definitely modify your settings. Adding t5’s will take you farther in the direction you’re avoiding. Even the ati blue+ bulb is pretty white compared to blue LEDs. Post your settings I’m sure recommendations can be made.

As stated, it is definitely the spectrum you are running. Increase your blues/purples/uv and lower the whites/greens/reds if you want it bluer. Stay in the 18k-20k spectrum.

Is that what you are currently running or what you changed it to? That should be plenty blue. Based on those settings you should be in the 18-19k spectrum.

You might. ...but you might not. Your corals have to have color for the LEDs to be able to "pop" them. In general, daylight (or more rounded spectrum) will render the best color and then you can blue-it-up to your liking for illumination.

Most of the best LED tanks that I have ever seen have all channels at/near 100% for large portions of the day and then they go-blue in the evenings when they get home just to look.

If you have seen some tanks with your eyes, then try and mimic those, if this is important to you. If you are trying to duplicate something that you saw on the web, then this can sometimes be a fools errand since these photos are mostly doctored.
