So we all know there is a temperature range that a reef tank should be at, but does certain temps help or hurt coral growth. Has anyone noticed by changing the temp of the tank effect the coral growth and if so what temp gets you the best growth?

Ive noticed better growth and color after installing a chiller unit and keeping tank between 78 and 79 steadily

IME it’s all about stability. Corals can adapt to some degree. But keeping them at a certain temp is best.

But from what I have read warmer water holds less oxygen, means it could potentially affect PH downwards. When you run higher temperature above 80 make sure to have surface agitation. Just my 0.02
