Hi, thanks for stopping at this post. I was wondering what is to small for a frag tank? Can I get away with a 10 gallon tank? As long as a I have a heater, powerhead and a good light. I'm new to this frag tank stuff so bare with me please :)

ok so I just need to know if a 10 gallon tank is fine for a frag tank? Do i have to do water changes even if I don't have fish in it? Do I really need a sump for it with skimmer?

For a frag tank that small I would plumb it from the main display. That will keep you from worrying about more equipment and the water will be more stable with the higher volume.

I have kept a coral only tank while waiting for ich to die off and I got away with only dosing and no water changes for 3 months.
