Hi everyone so I have had a 60 gallon for the last couple of months and my corals just haven’t really grown much and now one of my hammers just lost two of its heads today and I’ve never dosed and I’m thinking that that may be the problem I try to do a 5-10 gallon water change every 1-2 weeks.

Have you tested your alkalinity, mg, and calcium??
No way to tell usage unless you check.

Besides that, highly doubt lps and softies are overcoming your bi weekly water changes and usage of the components. Unless you have a lot of them .

In my opinion your water changes should be closer to 20-25% but once again testing will tell you where u really stand .

Have you been doing any testing? Your Ca should be around 460-480, Alk at 8-12Dkh and Mag at 1200-1500. I have a Red Sea E-260 where DT is 69 gallons and sump is 12 gallons. I dose every three days and do a 4 gallon change every week. My Corals are very happy and growing like weeds. My Ca is 480, Alk is 9.7 and Mag is 1450.

Whats your water parms?. Dosing is not a cure all to sick corals. UNLESSSS you have tested and determined what needs dosed. Have you tested yet

I have tested for calcium and alk and calcium was at around 440 and alk was in the 8’s I believe around 8.6

and then it’s just been kind of opening up less and less and the rest of my corals look pretty good other than some acans that aren’t fully open
