I know great water quality comes with time, good husbandry and proper nutrient export is the best way to keep nuisance algae at bay.

Now, what are the risks of using Hydrogen peroxide to take a break from cleaning the freaking glass while a new tank goes through the uglies? I'm ****** tired of the green dusty glass film!

Death for a lot of tank inhabitants if you get the dosage wrong.. Make sure you have a good filtration system for after the algae is killed. If you get the dosage right no need to worry about anything really it should all be fine just watch things closely...

This is the phase where it's usually best to let the uglies riegn. It's their time – let the tank go through it's phase. ;)

If it really bothers you then shut off the lights until it passes. I generally try not to light up a tank until the corals are in.

:)

1 ml per 10 gallons is very safe. I dosed 27ml in 3 gallons of water in a bucket, submerged some live rock with green star polyps and zoas with no negative effect on them. I've read that some shrimps will die with HP dosing.
