Dosing iron question.

no but the way i take it their test wont show it thats why i dose according to ca uptake but i will be sending my triton test out monday to get to the bottom of this i dose 3ml per day i have about 130 gal of water and i was also told if you cant test dont add thats why i dose so little and ill wait for triton and adjust from their also i use red sea test for this and when i found i was getting 0 i went to red sea and got that answer to bad i spent the money on their test

So. Lets do some math... to dose redsea's iron.
1.total system water volume is 175 Gallons. Aka =662 liters
2. Redsea test kit reads 0 iron.

Based on the charts in the photos...How much do i dose to achive .15ppms

The Red Sea test kit might be dead. I am currently discussing this matter with Red Sea. I bought test reagents from Hanna and they can detect the iron gluconate (Flourish) in RO/DI or freshly prepared salt water. You might have overdosed your aquarium.

I found 1 ppm iron gluconate is stable in freshly prepared saltwater for at least 19 hours, but 0.2 ppm iron glyconate in my aquarium becomes undetectable in less than 5 hours. I am currently running experiments to determine whether GAC and/or aragonite adsorb iron gluconate.
