Dosing with a doser

Hi all, happy New Year to all

Question for you, I have a doser for alk for 2 months now (bubble magnus), I am seeing I have to adjust the out put once in a while to keep my alk where I like, does this happen to others?Is the cause of the consumption of my corals?

Absolutely. I use the Bubble Magus doser as well. As the corals and inverts grow and more are added, I have to increase Alc and Cal. Are you dosing calcium chloride? Have you noticed any drop in Cal?

Thanks for the reply,makes me feel better..I dose brs pharma soda ash, I see a little drop in cal once in a while

I use the BRS pharma two part also. In theory, the system should use equal parts soda ash and calcium chloride solutions. For the most part, it seems to work out that way for me. Occasionally when I make a change, they will get a little out of whack. You might try dosing equal parts and see if parameters stay in the range you want. Then you can adjust from there.

Yeah, you have to constantly keep upping it. Right now, my tank is consuming twice the calcium than the alk
