My Dragonface lost his tail due to a temp spike in my 20g observation tank. I can set up a quick QT, but can I give him a med bath to treat? He doesn't eat prepared foods, so I would need to supply him with pods if I used a QT. Thoughts?

Lost its tail! You’ll have to quarantine it and give it something to prevent infections . Don’t be shy with food. It will need a lot of food to heal. Honestly I will be surprised if it lives.

It slowly deteriorated over the course of a week. I've read that this happens when temps get too high. He's eating and putting on weight, I just need to stop the infection.

Since they virtually have no stomach, I can't go long without feeding appropriate live food. Most treatments will kill and/or damage inverts, so I thought of daily baths?

I see what you mean. The same thing happened to my bluestripe. I left it in the tank and it healed just fine, but I don’t know too much about treatment.

I may try a half hour dip in something? I have Melafix, Furan 2, Kanaplex and Erythromycin, so we'll see?

I think you can take it out of the water every day and drip hydrogen peroxide on its tail. Then you can put it in a separate container to wash the hydrogen peroxide off its tail
