What size tank? I have successfully drilled a 10 gallon before, so it is doable.

That glass will crack easily

I have only cracked one, and that was because I tried tightening down a sch80 bulkhead with a pair of channel locks. It was dumb and a long time ago. LOL

If its not tempered go for it but the thin glass can crack with tightnening the glass or if the pipe is bumped.
