I came home today to notice that one side of my new hammer was droop my and looking dead. Not sure if this is normal behavior. It was doing fine yesterday not sure what is up.

It’s a pretty new tank. Just added 3 hammers and a bunch of zoas and lps. Only been up for about 3 months. I do have two hermits so they may be the problem? One of my other hammers is also doing the thing where it releases brown goop so I’m not too sure what’s going on. The last hammer is doing perfectly fine.Have you tried telling it a funny joke to perk its mood up?
In all seriousness though, do you have any shrimp or anything that could've walked across it? My LPS droop for a bit when they do in my tank. But typically perk back up.
Is it a new coral? New tank or mature tank?
Just did a test yesterday so here are the ParametersSo your tank is still pretty young, going through a lot of changes. I had a hammer about the same time as you did when I first set up my tank, looked great at first then just took a dive after a while, I credit that to my tank not being mature but it could've also been damaged by my shrimp and got infected after. What kind of light and flow is it under? Might as well do a test on your parameters as well, someone is probably going to ask. I doubt its your hermits.
Yep tank has been cycles for around 2 months. Only took me a little while to get fish because of college. I plan to get something over the next few days.Ah, there you go. You need nitrates and some(just a bit) phosphate in the water column for them to be happy. You might want to get a fish. Is your tank cycled?
Your corals will probably bounce back if you can get a little gill buddy to dirty that water up a bit.Yep tank has been cycles for around 2 months. Only took me a little while to get fish because of college. I plan to get something over the next few days.
What would you recommend I do to dirty up my water. Should I crush up some fish pellets and throw that in along with the reef roids?Your corals will probably bounce back if you can get a little gill buddy to dirty that water up a bit.
