Echotech battery back up

Hello has any had a problem connecting the power supply to the Echotech battery back up? Mine only goes in half way?

I have tried everything but it doesn't want to go in. Now I'm not 100 percent sure this is the right power adapter?

Yes...that is the way it goes in per instructions....not sure why it needs to be that way, but this is "normal"
